Day 235

If you'll remember from yesterday's post...I mentioned how stressful and chaotic today (and all 3 work days this week) would be. I am sad to say that it held true. Ugh! I was so relieved to get done with work, run a few errands, finish payroll for the excavating company and finally make my way home...in the drizzly rain. I got out of my car and was heading in the house when my cell phone fell out of my coat pocket (where I NEVER keep it). I've dropped it before, no big deal - I have an awesome case on it, but tonight...no tonight could not be the same as always. I reached down to pick it up and what do I find??

:( Sad face. Tears. Anger. GRRR!

This was SOOO not my day.

I ended up driving 20 minutes to the closest AT&T store (after calling to see if they had a phone I wanted). Luckily, there was a super sweet girl (shout out to Allison!) working and she called to see if she could get me an exclusive upgrade (which was $50 extra, but my upgrade wasn't due until the end of February)...and yay for me...I got it!! So instead of paying the no-commitment price (ouch ouch ouch that would have been expensive!), I paid the 2 year contract price. :) I ended up getting the Atrix 2, which is the new version of the phone I had. So far so good. I think I've got everything I really wanted/used downloaded on the new phone. We're back in business. Whew! That was a close call, folks. ha

Seriously?

The past 2 days have been the kind of days where you just get on your knees and pray for things to get better!

Not only has the weather been absolutely crappy...anything that could go wrong has gone wrong. Yesterday I can't tell you how many times I cried over stupid stuff just because I couldn't take it! I was a mess last night!! ugh!

*My cell phone bit the dust when I tried to download the updated software.
*I was getting better from my sickness last week when all of a sudden my body decided to break down some more...EARACHE! (for anyone who knows how much trouble I had as a kid with my ears, this totally sucks...)

That's just a few of the highlights from my last few days. I've been dizzy/light-headed all day, so now I'm laying on the couch trying to enjoy American Idol and I can't even do that! argh!

Okay...enough of the gripe session.

Tech Saga Continues...

It was a long week last week with all the cell phone drama...to make a long story short, I had 5 phones in 4 days! Argh!

I am happy that I now have a cell phone I like and it gets the job done! ha

On another note...is it too much to ask that the people selling the phones know what the phones are capable of? I mean it's not like the phones change daily in the stores, they've had these phones for months and yet they can't tell you what they do!?! The sales people made me crazy...especially when I only asked for the phone to do 1 thing (sync with my computer for contacts and calendar) and yet was repeatedly disappointed. Do your job people! :p

Technology is for the Birds!!

Today I woke up just like I do everyday...to the sound of my cell phone alarm! I turned it off and got out of bed to check my email and let Toby out of his crate. Everything was fine and dandy....

I finish getting ready an hour later and am grabbing my cell phone and bags to leave for work. I press a button to turn on the backlight and it comes on, but all I see is a white background and the hourglass symbol! Argh! After popping the battery out and letting it wait awhile, still the same results...by then I was downright frustrated! A day without my cell phone?!? Are you nuts? My cell phone is as much a part of me as my eyes! hahaha

Needless to say...I now have a new cell phone...I am no longer the owner of a "crackberry" but now a pretty silver LG shine! :p
