5QF - 2/10

Happy Friday!! This week has just been the longest week ever and I am so thankful that it's coming to an end!! It was a rollercoaster of emotions this week and I'm hoping that part of it is over as well. I just want to go back to my steady, happy nature. :)

This week I was a total bum in regards to exercise...and my food choices. I halfway picked good foods and halfway ate junk. My weigh-in this morning revealed that I surprisingly lost 1 pound!! I was just praying not to gain more than a pound so I was doing a happy dance!

**I know a few of you will be after me because there's no update on last night's date with co-worker boy. I will try to update ya'll later this weekend, but suffice it to say that for me - it was the best first date I've ever had. ;) AND we are repeating it tonight. (there are not enough smiley faces for this little paragraph, so you'll have to imagine me smiling like a huge dork!) Thanks to all of you, it was a unanimous vote amongst my friends to go out with him. I can't believe I was going to say no. Turns out we have way more in common than I'd ever thought possible and we have just enough differences to keep conversation interesting. That's all I'm saying for now...don't wanna jinx a good thing!**

And now for some 5QF fun...one of the questions is again mine, so hope you'll play along!

1. How often do you shave your legs in the winter?

Um, not very often! I suppose if I were dating someone that I would make much more of an effort; however, I haven't been seeing anyone regularly, so that kinda falls to the wayside. I just hate taking the time to do it! I have waxed before and I LOVED it (and yes it was painful, but not as bad as I anticipated it being), but I am allergic to the wax. My sis and I have looked into sugaring, but not sure if my super sensitive skin could handle it or not. I do not want a repeat of the waxing incident. EEK! I think this might need to be amended in the near future, I typed it last night before the date....ha

2. Valentine's Day card for your spouse: funny or romantic?

No spouse, but most likely funny or a combo of the two. I like to laugh and smile, so the funny would be more me than an overly sappy card. I just look forward to the day when I get a V-Day card again because I haven't gotten one since I was in grade school and they were mandated! haha

3. What are you most looking forward to about spring?

I love the green grass and SUNSHINE!!! I seriously need sunshine. It doesn't have to be warm for me. I just need the sun. :)

4. What's your favorite way to pamper yourself?

Pedicure. I love getting pedicures and it's so relaxing. I wish I could afford them more often that I do, but I guess it makes it that much more enjoyable!

5. Does your tax return go into savings or do you spend it instantly?

I would be thrilled to save that I could save it. It usually goes to pay a bill or make a big purchase. I've put it towards travel, exercise equipment, debt, etc. This year I am just hoping to not have to pay! I made quite a bit more than I previously have and some of it (like my Scentsy commission) is untaxed. Ugh. :(

  1. YAYYYYYYYYYYY about the date! So excited for you! What about the other boy - are you still talking to him??

I love pedicures too, in fact I am getting one this weekend!

    1. Thanks Nikki! :) The other boy, who from now on I'll refer to as engineer boy (cause he's an electrical engineer), just got back from his work trip at some point in the night. I have talked to him a few times today and he knows my weekend plans (well most of them!), but has not asked to see me again. I'm trying not to read too much into it because we're still talking and I know he's got a major project he's dealing with for work. Time will tell. ;)
