Day 249
Now that the Children's Christmas Party for my work is quickly approaching...I'm in gift-wrapping hell. Have you ever had to wrap 119 gifts? No. Then shut it. ha This is my second year doing it and I'm OVER it. I've done it for a few hours and have managed to knock out a very, very small portion of the gifts.

Day 248
Oh cold, rainy Sunday...you've been a joy.
It was a sleep in sorta day. And we did. After getting up (much later than I even thought I would), we decided to go have brunch at Crossroads Restaurant. We pull in the parking lot and what do we see? Family vehicles! ha Turned out that my Uncle K, Aunt Roni, cousin Monica and her son Ethan, cousin Sara and her hubby Andy plus kids Callie and Henry were all just arriving to eat as well. It was a nice surprise and made for a fun breakfast! :)
Then mom dropped me off at the excavating office while she ran to the grocery store. I was done and waiting on her by the time she returned. I've been doing laundry and TRYING to catch up on my blogging ever since! It feels like I've been on my computer ALL day...and well, I kinda have been. ha Do you know how long it takes to recount 13 days worth of time?!? Holy smokes. I'm gonna try to not have to do that ever again!
Tonight we made a pot of chili for this week's meals and to finish off the meal, some apple turnovers. mmm mmm good!
And I just got the Christmas tree set up and decorated. We are now officially ready for Christmas. :)

Saturday I had my last craft show/festival of the year! I set up a Scentsy booth at the Fortville Winter Fest and had a good time. Mom went with me and we didn't make it home until about 10:30pm. And yes, when we got home, we ate our drive-thru dinner and had cupcakes for dessert. ha Always fun :)

What's here? My Scentsy Incentive warmers! I earned them through a special challenge in May, June and July. It was so exciting to get the box and open each warmer. First of all, let me say, they are MASSIVE. I mean huge! In a few of the pictures, you can see my laptop (fully open) sitting behind them. I really want to have them in my curio cabinets, but they don't quite fit. hmmmm
Friday evening, I went to Vevay to help one of my Scentsy team members with her business Launch Party. She had a great crew in attendance and I am so proud of her for a great evening! Way to go Sydney!

Day 245
Thursday I returned to work...and it was painful! ha I had 3 days worth of work piled up, not to mention all the mail, empty boxes of stuff that needed ordered, etc. It's much like teaching kindergarten...a whole plant full of grown people and they cannot function without me there as the babysitter and peace-keeper. ha
Since I was back from my warm Thanksgiving vacation, I decided I wanted to keep my newly acquired tan and help boost my spirits...so it was time to hit the tanning bed. Ahhhh. It seriously makes any bad day a good one. Just try it. ;)

Day 244
Wednesday I played hookie and called in sick to work...hey, I have a paid sick day that would have gone to waste if I didn't use it! ;) haha
I tried to sleep in, but of course Toby was having none of that. I did manage to get about 6 hours of sleep that morning. Since I was out of town on Monday, I had to go do payroll for the excavating company. The rest of the day I was admittedly lazy! I pretty much sat on the couch reading and did laundry. ha
I was excited to get an item in the mail...my gift from the company I work for due to having put in 1 year with them.
And the rest of my day looked something like this -

Day 243
Tuesday was our day to return home...and we were NOT ready. ha Who wants to leave sunny & warm for cold & snowy? Definitely not me. I was ready to stay and would move back to that area in a heartbeat!
We had a late breakfast at our hotel and then spent a few hours on the roof deck by/in the pool. We begrudgingly went back to our room to shower and pack up. We took a cab back to the airport so we would have time for an early dinner. We flew home the same way we came...San Antonio-Atlanta-Lexington. We had a delay in Atlanta (imagine that, huh? ugh) and finally made it back to Lexington at midnight. By the time we got to Z's house and then back on the road, we walked into the house at about 2:30am. And yes, we did see a dusting of snow on the ground...double ugh.
