I joined up with 2 blog swaps this holiday season. I have never done anything like this before, but it has been fun getting to know new people!

as soon as I get a pic printed, the Fab magnetic pic frame is going on my filing cabinet at work and the yellow photo book will be great for showing off recent pics of our San Antonio trip!

Day 253

I finally managed to catch my mom's dog in her usual sleeping state...on her back with legs in the air! Then she rolled over to look at me. The first time I saw Kya do this, I thought she was dead. Such a weird dog! ha

Headed to Georgetown for family Christmas this weekend...will have plenty to update when I return. :)

1. What is your favorite Christmas cookie?

I don't know that I really have a favorite Christmas cookie - if I had to pick, I guess I would say haystacks, though technically it's not a cookie and you could make them at anytime, but my mom only ever makes this at Christmas time! ha


2. What's your favorite holiday movie and why?

My favorite movie is probably How the Grinch Stole Christmas...and that was even pre-Jim Carey's Grinch movie! :) Growing up, I can't count how many times my sister and I watched the original animated version on VHS. It's always been a favorite, but the Jim Carey version just added to my love of the movie.


3. Is there a gift you bought for your kids that you wish you hadn't after they opened it?

No kids for me, but there are times that after I bought a gift, I wish I had gotten something different for someone. Usually their enjoyment of the gift made any lingering doubts disappear!


4. What is the messiest room in your house right now?

My bedroom. Ugh! It looks like a tornado blew through.... *sigh* I am NOT a messy person. I don't like things to be out of order (yes, OCD). I have been gone so much the past few months and even when I am home, I have no energy to do anything. I have no choice but to tackle the mess this upcoming week since I am hosting a Scentsy Open House for last minute Christmas shoppers at my house. Praying I find some energy to do it!


5. What is the furthest you have driven for the holidays?

For holiday festivities, I guess I would say Lexington to my cousin's house as that is our new family Christmas spot, but it is only about 2 hours away. I have; however, driven to Orlando for NYE with friends and gone to the Capital One Bowl game (football) on New Year's day. So, that is technically part of the holidays, right? haha That was a 14 hour drive!

Day 252

After about 4 hours of sleep this morning and then working all day...I was excited to come home and get a special package delivered to me! My friend, Julie, is a Dove Chocolate consultant and I had ordered some stuff from her at one of our events. It is good stuff! YUM :) A little dark chocolate makes any day better. haha

Day 251

Wednesday was one of my long days...it was a Purdue basketball night! ha There's nothing quite like working a 9 hour shift at work, then having an 8 hour evening plan. ha I think at 29 years old, I'm too old for this hectic schedule....and yet, I can't imagine trading it in! ;)

It was a horrid game as far as officiating went...ugh, let's not even go there! However, my beloved Boilers pulled out a win!!! Boiler Up! We also got to see some friends at the game, which is always fun! Right when we walked in the door to Mackey, we saw Kim's parents - Kent & Mandy. :) There are some of my FFA parents. Then after the game started, one of Jenna's former roomies from Purdue was a section over too far trying to find her seat, it was nice to see Annette! And then as I was looking the crowd over (cause I'm always looking for friends in the crowd), I noticed another past State FFA Officer buddy, Joey and his co-teacher Travis, plus some of their FFA students.

Day 250

It is sometimes rough being a mommy to a fur-baby. :( Toby has switched to an organic dog food after I'd done lots of research about natural ways to try to cure his seizures. We thought it was working, but then he had another one. And another. And that was all right before we left for San Antonio. We were starting to think maybe that had been a fluke or the last of them...but tonight he got sick again. Much less than normal, but I feel so bad for my lil guy. hmph

Also, on another completely random note...tonight I watched Glee for the first time since probably week 2 of the season. I used to religiously watch it, but somewhere along the lines, I got too busy. ha Tonight I was reminded why I love it. And I fell in love with a song. It's seriously been on repeat.
