Wedding, Part 3

After we finished pictures of just us girls...it was time for the "First Look."

I know, I know. Non-traditional. We debated on it for quite awhile. At first Eric did not want to do it, but I really wanted time for just us to soak up the moment. And it turned out wonderfully! It was so great having time to see each other and just settle into the realization that we were getting married...SOON!

Wedding, Part 2

It was around noon when we finished prepping for the big day. So us girls headed to McDonald's for lunch. Posh, no? haha

The whole time we were being pampered at the salon, Eric and mom were running around getting things finished - getting the beer iced down, directing a few helpers with the food, setting up the sound system at the wedding site, getting themselves dressed, etc.

After a quick bite to eat, the photographer met the girls at the wedding location for pictures....

The boys were not allowed at the site while we did our pictures, but stay tuned for more! ;)

Wedding, Part 1

Finally....our big day arrived! :)

It started off somewhat early for us girls. We had to be at the salon at 9am for hair and makeup. Plus, Emma & Jordan were getting their nails painted (Jen and I did that the day before). Our fabulous photographer showed up at 9:15, just as we were getting started...

It was so much fun getting ready! My cousin Sara (who owns the salon) did our hair, my high school friend Jerri Lynn (does this for fun and NO pay) did our makeup and one of the girls at the salon, Taylor, painted the girls' nails. They all made us look and feel fantastic!

Wedding Pictures Coming SOON!

You heard it folks! Today we received the pictures from our fab photographer, Lindsay. :)

I won't tell you how many times I've looked through them already! ha I had 50 free prints from Shutterfly, so I picked those out and placed the order. We picked out photos that we promised to certain people in our thank you cards and also ones we knew the Grandmas would want. 

It took awhile, but I managed to get a fair amount of the final selection uploaded to Facebook. There is no way I could share EVERY picture because Lindsay took LOTS of pictures! Yippee!

This weekend I will work on getting posts together of the different segments so as not to overwhelm everyone. haha So be on the lookout this week!

Then after the posts are done, I'll be able to start working on the photo book. I started doing Shutterfly printed photo books (custom ones that I designed each page & uploaded) a few years ago and love that option, so I plan to do it for the wedding and then another one with all the Wedpics everyone posted.

And on one last note...I am still on a weight restriction with my leg. It blows. Big time. Friday is usually my one day out of the house each week and it completely exhausts me to go grocery shopping (and yes, I use the little handicap scooters at Wal-Mart). This week I have had swelling in my knee. The nurse hotline at my doc's office said it is not normal and they wanted me to take an anti-inflammatory like Aleve or Advil and keep icing it while elevating it. Fun, fun. The nurse thinks the doc will want to x-ray or MRI it...so we'll see what happens on Tuesday at my 4 week appointment. It felt slightly better this morning, but tonight it was back to normal aches and swelling. :(

Leg Update

Sorry for my absence, but honestly, just haven't felt like doing all that much. After sitting in the same chair all day long, EVERY day, and working from home...when my "hours" are in, I usually shut the computer off and become a vegetable watching tv. Exciting, no?

Anyway...today I had my 2 week check up with the orthopedic surgeon and he said my leg looks like it's healing. He ALMOST let me walk in the aircast this week, but then decided to make sure my leg is completely healed and told me I have to stay off of it for 2 more weeks.

So here I am. In the chair. Again. For 2 more weeks. Someone shoot me now!

The only upside is that in 2 weeks at my next appointment, he told me to bring a shoe. He thinks I'll be able to go home without the aircast! Praying for that!! (Originally I was told it would be 4 weeks no walking and 2 weeks walking in aircast.)

Anyway....back to working at home. And hoping this broken leg doesn't cause my marriage to end in divorce.
