Day 334

I love having weekly points to use on nights like this....yep, you better believe we went to DQ. I am a fan of the Midnight Truffle Blizzard! ha :) Yum.

Day 333

Today was a beautiful spring day...wait, what? Oh, it's still winter?!? haha Oh well, Mother Nature missed that memo! :)

After I completed W1D3 of C25K, I decided to go for a walk to get some fresh February air! It was such a gorgeous evening for a walk. I needed the walk. I need the chilly bite of the air. Walks are therapeutic to me. It started as a kid, walking every evening in the summer and fall with my Grandma. We would walk and talk. Now I make those same walks...alone...but usually talking to no one. Whispered wishes. Prayers. Shattered moments and tears. As I said on Facebook, those long slow walks on our country road as the sun sets brings peace to my soul. True story.

Day 332

Today I am extremely exhausted (our date was a late one due to him working - we didn't get back to his town until midnight!). The nap yesterday threw off my sleep pattern and I had a hard time sleeping last night.

Thought I would take a picture to show you my left eye. By the way, this is completely normal. It looks bad, but honestly it doesn't hurt at all. There was NO pain whatsoever involved in the Lasik procedure. I dare say, I wasn't even "uncomfortable" as they say you may feel some pressure during it. Anyway, when the laser restructures the surface of your eye, it can cause bruising in the form of blood spots. Each eye has it, but my left eye is more noticeable than the right.

Sorry for how scary I look. I am not allowed to wear eye makeup (no rubbing your eyes) for 1 week and since I'm at home bummin' today...I have no makeup on at all! That's worse than having to wear my glasses all last week...and no, I'm not kidding!! Everyone always thinks I look like I'm sick when I don't have mascara on or my eyes done, so it will most likely be a long week! Side note: I hated going out on the date last night feeling "undone" without my full makeup, but electrician boy is a sweetheart and kept reiterating how good I looked. ha He's good for my ego! ;) Regardless, he's been thinking about Lasik too, so he was more than interested to hear about the whole process.

Day 331

Saturday morning I had my 1 day Lasik follow-up appointment and all was well. Since the appointment took all of 8 minutes, it was too early to do the shopping I had planned, so I made the trip home for a pedicure and grocery shopping. ha I also enjoyed one of my favorite treats, a Chocolate Ganache cupcake from Holy Cow Cupcake in Carmel! BEST CUPCAKES IN INDY. :) Thanks mom and Jen!

I was a bum all day and even took a nap! I spent the early evening getting ready for my date with the electrician. He knows how much my family enjoys going out to new restaurants, especially ones featured on shows with Adam and Guy (Food Network). ha So, he surprised me with a dinner date to Virgil's Cafe in Bellevue, KY. It was a little bit of a drive for us (especially after he worked a 12 hour shift AND had get his son to where he was spending the night, plus shower and get ready for the date) but we had an easy conversation the entire trip there. The food was good, not great, but the company made it worthwhile. It's definitely the service that makes that place famous! EVERY staff member treated us like they had known us their whole lives and neither of us had ever been there before. ha I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that I'm pretty confident there will be more dates with this guy. Still not convinced I'm ready to handle the "dad" side of his life (I do not want to rush that part and he understands), but I like him and it feels easy and fun. :) Time will tell. Sorry Missy, no self-portraits! haha Maybe next time ;) I'm surprised he didn't pull out his phone for a pic :p I had NO service the entire date so I didn't even bother looking at my phone. ha

As for updates on the other boys - I'd say hotty-bo-botty and golf boy are out of the picture. Have not heard from golf boy since before I told ya'll about him! Hotty-bo-botty texted me randomly Friday morning, but nothing since then and especially nothing of importance. Coworker boy is still as friendly as ever. Engineering boy is still traveling each week for work and I get texts very rarely. He's still interested, but I feel my interest fading fast.

Day 330

Friday was THE day!! I had my Lasik procedure done! At my one day follow-up appointment, the tech who checked my eyes told me...."yesterday you were legally blind and today you have 20/20 vision!" How awesome is that? It astounds me. I still find myself stopping and realizing that I am not wearing contacts or glasses AND I can see!!! :) I would suggest it to everyone! Great experience! It was probably the most expensive 10 minutes of my life, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

5 minutes after the procedure, rockin' out the clinic sunglasses as mom drove me to Jen's apartment to sleep!

Day 329

Thursday I had a doc's appointment in Indy...that I will try to find time to talk about another day! (Tired and getting ready to take a nap right now.) Suffice it to say that it was about my health and I am healthy, but after some tests in the near future, we're pretty sure it'll be confirmed that I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Explains a few things and hopefully will be under control shortly! Anyway, on to the picture of the day....haha

I had a double earache on Thursday, the one was so painful, I couldn't even touch my face or neck on that side. It's all part of the allergy cold I have right now. Ugh. I came home and had mom help me with ear candling. Love it! Felt immediately better. If you'd never done it, look it up. Disgusting but awesome all at the same time. ha

Day 328

Finally....a Purdue win!! They looked like the team we know they can be and should be while they kicked Nebraska's ass! :) Don't get me wrong, I am a Huskers fan (I almost went there for grad school), but no one else gets cheered for while they play Purdue!
