A Busy Life

I know I keep saying it, but honestly I can't seem to stay ahead of the game! The days are flying by are warp speed.

It feels a bit like this...

...but I'm trying to remember this...

My days are spent huddled over my computer at work. As soon as I leave work, there seems to be an endless list of things to do. I've been busy!! I love a busy life, but it's been awhile since I've been THIS busy. ha As I approach my 30's, I'm learning that I cannot go go go like before! I am not getting as much sleep, but I hope to remedy that next week when I am here! My evenings have been spent trying to get ready for the upcoming trip, spending time with AxMan (and his girls when he has them), doing stuff around the house, and helping my Scentsy team. Craziness.

On another note, if you'd like a cute (and fun) read...I grabbed the first one for free on the Amazon Kindle Books Bestsellers list and bought the second one after reading the first.

Saturday & Sunday Recap

Hard to believe that I've had literally no time to sit and type since the weekend! My days keep flying by and I feel no closer to getting things accomplished! Oi.

This will be a shortened recap (since I'm typing this at work...bahaha), but suffice it to say that it was an awesome weekend! I truly had a great time and was sad to see my 3 days of quality time with AxMan come to an end.

Saturday

Saturday morning we both had things to do, so we did our own thing. I exercised and cleaned and did laundry. He mowed some yards that he does on a weekly basis and had lunch with his grandma. After he was back to where he's staying, I drove up and picked him up. We went grocery shopping together (had to get my weekly supplies). After that, we dropped the groceries off at my house and then went to his sister's house to do his laundry. She has a high efficiency washer and it seriously held all 2 weeks of his and the girls' clothes in 1 load. Crazy. We still have the "old school" style washer and dryer. haha I got to meet his sister's boyfriend (he calls him his brother-in-law) and 3 of the kids. His sister has 2 boys, who I adore! haha They are farm boys through and through. Had me cracking up almost the whole time we were there...and then asked why I laugh and smile so much!? :p I also met her boyfriend's son (he also has 2 girls). The boys were wound for sound that afternoon...so while the laundry was doing it's thing, we made a great escape! ha I drove him around and showed him some of the places I had lived growing up and where my closest family members live. He had previously done this with me (sorry for not blogging about it. ha) We returned to town and waited on his laundry and finally got to visit with his sis (she works weekends) when she got home. Although they invited us to dinner, we couldn't take the noise and chaos anymore, so we had dinner at a local restaurant. Yum! We spent the rest of the evening hanging out at my house. We walked out to the pond (he wants to catch frogs sometime soon) and watched tv and talked. It was a really nice evening just relaxing.

Sunday

Sunday morning we were both feeling pretty lazy. We had breakfast together...coffee and chocolate chip muffins. mmmmm...good! We procrastinated a bit and finished getting ready for the day before heading to a small town about 40 minutes away to see one of his co-workers, Hillbilly. I'll call his friend/co-worker, Hillbilly, because...he is one! haha He knows it, we all know it. Hillbilly is a good guy though and I'm glad AxMan has someone on the job that he can commiserate with (their job sucks - actually it's the company/mgmt). Anyway, Hillbilly invited us out to his camping spot for dinner. I was told over and over how awesome this meal would be because Hillbilly can really grill....and boy, was AxMan right! We had ribeye steaks, potato wedges, and salad. It was all delicious. The steak was so juicy and the marinade (his secret recipe) was off the charts amazing! The potato wedges were delicious...and yes, we may have all been dipping them in ranch dressing as well. haha ;) It was luckily not too hot out in the woods where we were. We made the trip back to AxMan's place and he decided he was hungry again. I kid you not, the man has a hollow leg. I'm sure of it. Of course, he burns some serious calories at work, so I can imagine you would need to keep your energy up! Since he was hungry and we'd really only had a muffin and the steak all day long...we decided to go grab a pizza at Little C's. We brought it back and watched The Princess Bride while we ate. Funny enough, this was his movie choice. I had never seen it before and since one of his life missions is to expand my movie list, we watched it. I can't believe how ridiculous, but cute, the movie was. Definitely a Robin Hood in Tights kind of movie. I made it home before it got too late and sadly...realized my weekend was over.

Hope all of you had wonderful weekends as well! This time next week...I'll be on the beach in Punta Cana! WOOHOO!!! :)

**Missy - sorry no picture. I'm at work and don't have access! ha

A Rather Perfect Friday

Friday was a pretty great day. Really can't complain about a single second! :)

My day started out at 4:45 am (okay, so maybe that part wasn't so great..ha..but I am used to it) with an early morning workout. I then got myself ready for work and enjoyed a short work day from 7-9am. After work, I had a few errands to run in town. Had to cash my one paycheck & drop off a graduation gift to my cousin since we aren't attending her grad party Sunday. I then made my way to Greensburg to pick up AxMan so he could accompany me on my day in Indy!

We got to Indy and I went to my doc's office for a blood draw. Don't fret - just potassium testing for the testosterone blocker I take. Then I proceeded to drag him from store to store...haha...and I must say he handled it like a champ! I have NEVER taken a guy along on an errand day. I didn't want to bore him, but at the same time, I just feel so comfortable with him that I really didn't care - I just wanted to spend time with him doing my mundane routine. Bought my first pair of Sperry's at DSW, bought a new silver hard-side piece of luggage (that I've been wanting forever!) on The Container Store's travel sale, and made my customary stop at Ulta to stock up on things I'll be out of before too long. We also made a stop at a Sprint store so he could pay his cell phone bill.

By then, it was time for my third and final Lasik check-up. I cannot believe it's been 3 months already! They tested my eyes and then the regular doctor on staff took a look. She had a student/intern doc there as well, so when she was done checking my eyes, she told the intern to look at my eyes because I was an example of a perfect healer! :) Woohoo! That's awesome news! My eyes still tested at 20/20. Amazing since I was legally blind before that! My left eye is still weaker than my right but she said it's still very slight. So now, I just have to do yearly routine eye exams with my normal doctor. I'm loving it!

After the eye appointment, I had to introduce AxMan to 2 of my favorite Indy eateries. ;) And....it was love at first bite! He said he had a "tongue-gasm." hahahahaha We had lunch at Scotty's Brewhouse and then grabbed dessert at BRICS. Yes, he loves the blackberry ice cream as much as I do! He's a keeper!

Since we still had time, he asked if I'd like to meet his mom and dad. *melted* His girls were there for a few hours while their mom ran errands and he said we could surprise them. I let him drive my car back from Indy (a - the girls pointed out he was seen driving a car with Purdue plates! and b - he's only the 3rd person to ever drive my car) since he knew where we were going and I obviously didn't. We got to his parent's home and the girls ran out to see us. I adore them to pieces! We then made our way in the house and spent about 30-45 minutes with his mom and dad. They were really sweet and the conversation was very easy and relaxed. We left so they could eat dinner (and before his ex picked up the girls) and drove a few blocks away so I could meet his grandma. She is such a sweet lady! She reminds me a lot of how my maternal grandma was when she was living. haha...she even knew what shellac was and commented on my nails! ;) We spent about 20 minutes sitting out on the deck at her house just chatting. Both mom and grandma hugged me...he said that was a VERY good sign and that he could tell they liked me. I hope so! I liked them!

We made our way back to the place he's staying (he got word yesterday that he got the apartment he was wanting in Osgood) and chatted with the Greer's for awhile. They are like his second family because it's his best friend's family (they've been best friends since they were 8 - so almost 30 years!). We had every intention of watching a movie, but both of us fell asleep. Whoops! haha I guess we were both tired. :p I made it home pretty late, but it was so worth it. It was a perfect day. I don't know how many times he thanked me for asking him to spend the day with me, but it was pretty cute that he enjoyed it as much as I did!

5QF - 6/8

Friday again...where oh where has the time gone? If you've been reading my blog, you know that last weekend was quite busy and amazingly good! This week I have spent every evening except for last night with AxMan. Quality time is so important to me...and we've been fortunate to have lots of it this week. We've settled in on the couch, watched tv, talked about anything and everything, had dinner together, and just enjoyed our time together. We have plans to spend pretty much the entire weekend together and both of us are pretty darn excited about that! ha I'm sure I'll have some updates after the weekend. :)

I'm excited to say that I've lost another 1.2 pounds! Loving this healthy lifestyle. So excited to continue shedding the pounds. I was looking through some old pictures with AxMan this week and he was amazed at how much I've lost. He's lost quite a bit over the past 5 months as well. He doesn't have to workout though, he burns a ton of calories on the job everyday! ha

Last week I was too busy to play along with 5QF even though one of the questions was mine! Bummer. :( This week, one of the questions is again mine...hope you'll link up!

- - -

1. Did you do anything special for your kids on the last day of school? Or did your parents do anything special for you?

No kids and don't remember my parents/grandparents doing anything special for us as kids. I think we did the typical "last day of xx grade" pictures. haha We were always too excited about summer to be concerned with anything extra just because of school ending.

2. What's your favorite summer tradition with your kids?

Again, no kids of mine...however, this summer I can see myself making a tradition of park days with AxMan and his girls. I have also done special "dates" with my cousin, Ethan, to play golf and eat ice cream. We always have fun together. This summer I plan to make some baseball games to see my good friend O's kiddos play! Love them to pieces and it will be fun to spend time with them.

3. What was your favorite thing to do during the summer as a kid?

This is so silly, but there were 2 things that I always really enjoyed as a kid. The first was the week spent at the county fair each summer (usually the week of my birthday). We were super 4-H'ers and took tons of projects and my parents were very involved as leaders. I still make it to the fair several nights! The other thing that I remember the most about summers was swimming. Swimming at my grandma's house...she had the most awesome in-ground pool that was also like a greenhouse/atrium glass enclosed. Swimming at our friend DeeDee's house (still do that! ha). And of course, hanging the swings really high on the swingset and jumping into the kiddie pool we set up at my other grandparent's house. Yep, we surely were the kids who gave their parents and grandparents heart attacks on a daily basis! ;)

4. How old were you when you married? Were you a Bridezilla?

Not married, but guessing if it ever happens...I'll be in my 30's as I'm about to hit that milestone next month! ha I would love to say I wouldn't be a bridezilla, but anyone who REALLY knows me and my obsessive need to plan events would tend to believe that I will most likely be a crazy bride. I must say though that as I get older, I'm more determined to have a smaller wedding somewhere (like a beach) and then have a big reception upon our return. I think that would be less stressful! ha (And yes Jen, I'll probably still be a bridezilla. So sue me! ha)

5. What is your favorite girl name?

I normally wouldn't share this, but seeing as how I have a previous friend who "stole" this name (I've loved this name since junior high), I wouldn't ever use it for my own child. Kylee. I knew a girl growing up that spelled her name - Kylie. And I pretty much idolized her and thought she was THE coolest. haha Why the double E? Well, I knew a girl - Ashlee - and I always liked the unique spelling that wasn't too crazy, but just different enough. Ya know?!? Oh well. ha

A Day at the Park

So where do I begin with yesterday's festivities? hmmmm...I have a lot to tell! (And if you didn't read the blog over the weekend, you need to scroll down and read your way back up because I posted on Saturday AND Sunday.)

Sunday morning after AxMan woke up, I asked him if they would like to do something together for the day. So we decided on an afternoon at the park (at this point it was 10:30am and the girls were still asleep). I set about getting myself ready after exercising, had a quick bite to eat, and gathered some park supplies. Quilts to lay out in the grass, scratch sets (you know the velcro catch game), a frisbee, my old cheerleading pom-poms (cause the girls asked to see them the night before but I had to dig them out of a box), and a cooler with our favorite drinks. I met them at the park around 1:30pm and the fun began!

The girls played...and played...and played some more. We really had a great time! I also had packed my iPod and speakers, so we listened to music while laying on the quilts. AxMan ran to grab a pizza since him and the girls hadn't eaten. The girls and I talked about all sorts of things...I just let them lead the conversation. I'm glad they feel comfortable enough with me to confide in me. (It surprised their daddy later when I told him too.) The girls made themselves dizzy on the merry-go-round, climbed on the geo-dome, went down the slides, and I joined them on the swings. Lorraine even found time to bury herself in the sandbox. Oi. The girl had sand EVERYWHERE. haha It was really the perfect day weather-wise! I would plan a day like that again in a heartbeat!

DORK! He didn't think I snapped this fast enough...bahaha

Around and around they go!

Sand, anyone?

Kiddie swing

After about 2.5 hours the girls were starting to get restless. You know how it is...sooooo BORING. hahaha We packed everything back in my car and then went over to the place AxMan is staying right now because I hadn't been there and the girls wanted me to see it. We all piled onto the bed and watched a movie...but mostly chatted. All too soon it seemed like our day was coming to a close. At 7pm, I rode along for the "drop off" of the kiddos to their mom. I did see her, but we did not meet. Can anyone say awkward?!?

After dropping the girls off, we went back to the park and sat on the big bench swing under a shade tree. It was nice just being able to sit there and enjoy some quiet time with AxMan. After some talking there, we went back to where he's staying. He really wanted to watch the movie (cause it was already a day late), but of course, we missed most of it again due to a conversation that got started between us. He is VERY adamant about open communication...and I love that, but at the same time, it's almost to the point it makes me uncomfortable. Why? Well....he's been there done that and I haven't. It's really as simple as that. I would be lying if I didn't say the situation can intimidate me at times, but I'm working really hard not to let it. Sometimes that feeling comes across as me rejecting him. I hate that he feels that way, but it's because of his history. We were kind of giving each other some thinking space when my dear, sweet, wonderful friend O texted. The girl has some crazy connection to me! She always seems to hit the right day and the right moment when I need a true friend's advice. She was texting about reading my latest blog post....and of course she has lots of backstory via text because she's a) local and b) one of my best friends since HS. It was the reminder I needed to put myself out there...so I asked him to read the text. That was all it took to open the lines of communication. There was some pretty serious conversation...and at times I felt like he could reach out and crush my heart at any moment...but in the end, we're okay. We both have lots of baggage/fears we bring into the relationship, but we both want to make it work. He really pushes me to lay those fears to rest. I know I'm pushing him as well. It will no doubt continue to be a struggle. I just know I'm willing to keep "laying it on the line" as long as he does.

Yesterday I had planned to ask him how he felt about us being "Facebook official." hahaha Stupid, I know. Forgive me. On the way home, I texted him to ask. He was all for it. So when I got home and got some stuff done, I finally had a moment to sit down and change my status on FB. His computer screen is shattered and good ol' FB won't let the world change their relationship on the mobile app (I mean...really? How dumb is that logic??), so he is hoping to get to a computer tonight or tomorrow to "approve" our pending relationship. He does however still get all the notifications from every time someone has liked my changed status. hahaha ;) I really never knew so many cared about my status until last night when 14 people Liked my relationship status change within 10 minutes of posting it...at midnight!! Good grief. It does make me laugh though. And I do like being his. And him being mine. :)

OH...he also now knows about the blog, but hasn't seen it. I told him about his moniker and let's just say...I think he would've done the "me Tarzan" beating on his chest thing had I been standing with him when we talked about it later on the phone (after I got home). His biggest question was why I felt the need to hide his name and call him something else. I explained to him that the moniker started before we'd started officially dating and it was to protect his privacy. So...AxMan is actually a wonderful man named Eric. If you're FB friends with me...you probably figured that out by his comment on my status change and the fact that he also Liked it. hahaha Eventually it'll say that he's the one I'm in a relationship with, but ya know that whole approval thing via an actual computer! :p I will most likely continue to call him AxMan, but don't be surprised if I slip up from time to time and you see Eric. I almost typed it earlier in a paragraph and went back to change it!

My Heart is Happy

So, as you all know from reading my gibberish everyday...there's a wonderful guy in my life (aka AxMan). Yesterday I met his daughters (aka Katniss & Lorraine - more on these monikers in the following paragraphs!). If you read yesterday morning's post, you'll know I woke up feeling like everything was right in my world. Such a good feeling! :) That feeling only intensified throughout the day. Last night, AxMan and I were texting after he went home...and I told him that for the first time, I felt complete. He replied that he did as well...and that his girls were the happiest he'd seen them in a long time. *melt my heart* I had a lot of those heart melting moments yesterday...I've always known in my heart (since I was very young), that I was born to be a mother and a wife. Crazy? Maybe. Yesterday just cemented that for me. No matter what form it comes as in the future.

I had plans to meet AxMan and his daughters in Greensburg for lunch when mom and I were up there getting groceries for the week. I got a text while I was getting ready asking if he could just stop by and say hi real quick and pick up the mini fridge. (He's borrowing our mini fridge.) I was sort of confused because I thought he was panicking and pulling a stunt like I dealt with before (with Electrician). I told him I wasn't quite ready yet (I was dressed, but no makeup and wet hair up in a towel...yowza), but he said I'd like beautiful no matter what and the girls wanted to meet me. I combed my hair and put on a smile...and they were here! I took Toby outside with me to meet the girls and he soaked up all their attention. What a ham! We stood there talking and carrying on for about 30 minutes. When the girls were off playing with Toby and petting our other dogs, he told me he hadn't really had the money for lunch (it's been tough for him lately), to which I replied that I had planned to treat them all to lunch anyway. I hadn't told him because he's a man and very prideful. ha He had a hard time accepting it, but eventually said if the offer still stood, the girls would love to spend more time with me (as would he) and they'd still join us. So, after he ran to his sister's to pick up some of his yard equipment (he does landscaping on the side), they met mom and I at Storie's for a delicious...and quite funny lunch. I don't think we lacked for conversation at all. The girls are bright, funny, and sweet. They seemed comfortable with me and mom. I even sat by the girls and AxMan sat on the other side of me. The younger one was having trouble cutting up her chicken strips (kids are so funny with their habits, but then so are adults!), so I asked if she wanted help and she handed me her plate so I could do it. He looked kinda funny at me and asked if it was okay, that he could do it. I told him it was fine, I wouldn't have offered if I didn't wanna do it. ha Men! :p Sometimes they just don't get we show our affection in a million different ways. Lunch lasted about 1.5 hours! Craziness. It flew by and I'm so glad I got that time with them.

Mom and I went on our merry way to get groceries and AxMan took the girls to his mom's while he mowed a few yards nearby there. I was standing in line to pay (you know good ol' Wal-Mart can only have 3 lines open when there are a BILLION people trying to check out...grrrr) when I got tackled! hahaha There was Katniss & Lorraine! And here came their daddy...smiling and laughing. He needed a few things and didn't think they would see me, but the girls were apparently on the lookout for me. ;) So I got to talk to them a few more minutes while we waited in line.

That evening he picked up a pizza and brought the girls over to watch a movie. On the way over...our text convo looked a bit like this:

AxMan: I plan on some hugs and kisses tonight. Just so you know.
Me: Are we allowed to cuddle during the movie?
AxMan: I just asked the girls and they said yes to cuddling. ha
Me: How about those kisses? ;)
AxMan: I asked. I got eye rolling and smiles. Yes, we've got the green light. ;)
Me: Glad to know we have approval! haha

I have never had to get permission to hug or kiss a boyfriend before...but I'm glad the girls approve. The pizza & movie were actually their idea. They wanted to see me again! AWWWWWWWWW How cute is that?? If you can't tell, I'm just as smitten with them as with their dad. The girls quickly ended up being bored with the movie and they wanted to talk. So they sat on the floor amidst the pile of pillows and blankets I had out for them, playing with Toby and asking me questions while I was curled up on the couch in AxMan's arms (per usual). At about 10:30, the girls said they were tired, but they didn't wanna leave me. So AxMan told them to lay down and when they were ready to go home, he'd get them up. ha They enthusiastically covered up with my Purdue blanket (did I mention his major flaw is that he's an IU fan? hahaha). He jokingly told them they were grounded. haha The girls then asked me to take a picture and post in on Facebook. I didn't post it on FB cause I didn't know if he was ready for that, but I am gonna post it here and I did text him the pic! Katniss ended up falling asleep on my bed, but Lorraine was wound for sound the entire night! They ended up waking Katniss and going home around midnight. Not an exciting night by any means, but a perfect one in my book. :)

Okay...so the reasons for the girls names. The oldest girl is 12 and is completely obsessed with Hunger Games. She has dark hair, is learning to shoot a bow, and has boots like Katniss wore in the movie. AxMan has a picture of her on his phone with her hair pulled back, shooting the bow, with her boots on...she looks very much like a young Katniss! The youngest girl is 9 and quirky sweet. ha She is blonde and precocious, much like the character Lorraine (that Dakota Fanning plays) in Uptown Girls. And there you have it...Katniss & Lorraine. He told me throughout the day that the girls NEVER stopped talking about me. Before they left last night, they even hugged me!! Seriously, how can you not get attached when it's like that? And yes, I know I could be setting myself up for huge disappointment, but for once, I'm not going to let any doubts or fear of getting hurt stop me from giving all of myself. They were already asking AxMan when they would get to see me again. The girls were trying to wrangle an invite for today...and of course, that would be fine with me. He admonished them for inviting themselves over, but of course, I know he loves it just as much as they do, so it wasn't too firm on that. ;)

And now for some pictures. Sorry, AxMan and I have not yet taken a picture together because I usually have no makeup on when he comes over to hang out. Honestly, I'm lazy after a day at work, exercising and showering...so I don't bother putting makeup on for the second time in the day...and he prefers me without it. I plan to remedy that this week/upcoming weekend. So, for now you have to settle for a picture from Easter that his cousin took of him watching the kids play in the yard at their family get-together. He looks much younger in person when he's smiling and joking around. But for the most part, this is him. And then the rest of the pics are of the girls from last night.

A Quiet Morning

I know most people are not morning people...that is not me. I LOVE mornings. L-O-V-E. Sitting alone on a quiet morning does something to restore my soul. Weird? Maybe.

This morning I woke up a half hour before my alarm was set to go off...heck, it still hasn't gone off! ha I let Toby in my room and he's currently snuggled beside me on the couch, but he's a pretty quiet partner when he's sleepy. ;) As I sit here listening to a few birds' chirps cutting through the peacefulness, watching the sun filter through my curtains...I'm struck by how "right" things feel at this moment in time.

I don't even think I can begin to explain why or how things feel right. Yesterday a former co-worker called in to talk to the boss man, but he was out, so he ended up talking to me....he laughed because he said he was surprised I still worked there. It's kind of sad that so many people feel like my job is beneath me. No, I don't even come close to using my arsenal of skills and I do enjoy being challenged on the job, but I also enjoy surprising people with my abilities from time to time. I've never shunned work. I grew up having to work and work HARD. Sure, I complain about my job, but it's not because I don't feel it's worthy work, it's because I disagree with how the corporate office thinks they should manage things. The thing is...at this job, I'm probably about the happiest I've ever been. I am finally to a pay level where I make as much as I did at my former fave job (working for the federal gov't), but the people definitely make it a good one. Plus, if you haven't noticed...I'm a homebody. I prefer to be close to my family and friends. Sure, I still miss city living and the conveniences, but in the end - I'm just a small town girl who loves her fresh country air, the wide open spaces, and the slower pace of life.

I need my daily exercise to energize myself (although it's a pretty great bonus to be consistently losing weight - I've now officially lost over 60 pounds!). I live for weekend trips to Indy to see Jenna (& Noelle) or to Lexington to see Zach. I love that my uncle, aunt, and cousins include mom and I on their endless ranger riding trips over the backroads of the area. I enjoy being able to work towards paying off my debt. I get so excited that everyone around here knows I sell Scentsy and comes to me for last minute gifts or to re-stock their supply...and I truly get a thrill from watching my team members achieve big things!

And on top of all those things....right now, I enjoy spending time with AxMan and being part of each other's lives. Later today I hope to have something new (and good) to tell you about this as well (and yes, Missy, pictures). As I was typing this post, I realized how appropriate "his song" to me is for my life in general at this moment in time. Definitely going to try hard to be HERE in everything I do. To appreciate everything that's gotten me to this point in life, good and bad.

Thank you God for an amazing day to be cognizant for all that I have and do! Enjoy your weekend, friends! :)

AxMan Update

Time for an update on the boy...aka AxMan. haha This moniker should probably change as he's hoping to switch jobs soon, but I guess he'll always be AxMan to me. ;)

Anyway...back to the story! So in my last post, I mentioned that I saw him 3 out of 3 days...that is no longer correct, I've seen him 6 of 7 days. 6 days in a row. I think that is some kind of record for me! Seriously. I've always lived at least 45 minutes away from any guy I've ever "dated." It's really cool to have him so close. I'm not sure how thrilled mom is with it since he's been at the house almost every one of those days, but we usually just hang out and watch tv or listen to music. The only reason I didn't get to see him last night was because he had a last minute opportunity to have his girls for a few hours. I certainly didn't want to interfere with that. Yesterday was our first rough patch in the relationship. (He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on Saturday night. And I said yes. It was kinda cute. haha) We had a bit of miscommunication, which will happen when you can only text and not talk face to face (since we were both working). We worked it out though, somewhat. This morning we finished sorting out our little misunderstanding. All is well again. I'm sort of relieved we've gone through something already. It showed me that either one of us can have a bad day and unintentionally push away the other, but that neither one of us are budging. It's pretty darn cool. I know he's sticking around. I realize I owe you all more of an explanation than that, but I'm not ready to give up all my real-life details just yet! ha Thanks Kayla for being there via text last night to remind me to just "go with the flow." I'm certainly the happiest I've been...possibly EVER. Also big thanks to O & K who don't blog (but now read this blog! ha) but are lifelong friends and have been so supportive no matter what! :) So now that we've worked out what was causing the confusion, I'm looking forward to seeing him tonight. It's ridiculous how comfortable I am with him. We've only been talking a little over a week. Today marks the one week point since we first met in person/had our first date. And yes, while I've never considered those things milestones in the past, it's nice to be with someone who remembers the little things like that and tells me.

Still being cautious, but I'm definitely optimistic. I realize you get hurt more the more you open yourself up to someone...this time I'm willing to take the risk. Stupid?

Day 363

The past few days have been a little cooler, but today it was a gorgeous 70+ degree day again! I drove home from work on the backroads (hate all the construction in town) with my windows down and the radio up. :) That makes for a very happy E1! haha

It's been a hectic few days at work. The new financial group that bought our company last year is auditing us (argh!) and between pulling paperwork they want and our super slow computer program, it makes for a frustrating day. And to top it all off, I had to do one of my least favorite jobs...stamping envelopes for all the invoices I mail out daily. Yippee! NOT.

This week I kind of started by tracking WW points and calories, but I've quickly seen that I enjoy using the MyFitnessPal app a lot more than calculating points. I think I'm going to switch to that for awhile and see how it goes. Calories are posted on everything and I don't even have to think about it. It's kinda nice! ha I've done pretty well this week at coming in under calories, which wasn't easy since it's that time of the month and I want to eat everything in sight...no joke.

Last night I managed to get a lot of things crossed off my To Do list, but why is it those lists always tend to grow no matter how many items you cross off?! I have a few things I want to accomplish yet tonight and then hopefully I can mostly finish what is on the list as of this moment by the end of tomorrow. Then I'll have a whole new list for the weekend! haha :p

And thanks to those of you who commented on the boy situation either as a comment or through email! You girls totally make my day! I'm still debating the Match.com issue, so if you have any thoughts about whether or not I continue to use that profile, I'm all ears! There is a new guy on there as of last night that "liked" me, but he's not sent any message and I tried to play it cool with a "Hi, hope you have a great week" ditty. As I told Sarah Kate tonight, I feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be with the electrician/dad, but we're not exclusive and I don't want to be left high and dry. Is it any wonder I feel like I'm insane? ha Sheesh.

Day 340

Monday was a super hectic day at work. Mondays always used to be so quiet at work, but the past month or so, it seems I get bombarded on Mondays. Not to mention....I woke up to this....

a winter wonderland

Luckily by the time the work day was over, the snow was gone! :) I came home and took a nap. Boring, right? Well, I apparently needed that 1 hour of sleep. ha When I woke up, it was time to get ready for my late dinner date with the electrician. I know, I know...I said my plans got canceled, but then they were reinstated. It's kinda like that when you are dating a dad! It's still a new concept for me to deal with, but taking it a day at a time is helping. It was a good date. He's pretty good at making me smile. ALL. THE. TIME.

Day 331

Saturday morning I had my 1 day Lasik follow-up appointment and all was well. Since the appointment took all of 8 minutes, it was too early to do the shopping I had planned, so I made the trip home for a pedicure and grocery shopping. ha I also enjoyed one of my favorite treats, a Chocolate Ganache cupcake from Holy Cow Cupcake in Carmel! BEST CUPCAKES IN INDY. :) Thanks mom and Jen!

I was a bum all day and even took a nap! I spent the early evening getting ready for my date with the electrician. He knows how much my family enjoys going out to new restaurants, especially ones featured on shows with Adam and Guy (Food Network). ha So, he surprised me with a dinner date to Virgil's Cafe in Bellevue, KY. It was a little bit of a drive for us (especially after he worked a 12 hour shift AND had get his son to where he was spending the night, plus shower and get ready for the date) but we had an easy conversation the entire trip there. The food was good, not great, but the company made it worthwhile. It's definitely the service that makes that place famous! EVERY staff member treated us like they had known us their whole lives and neither of us had ever been there before. ha I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that I'm pretty confident there will be more dates with this guy. Still not convinced I'm ready to handle the "dad" side of his life (I do not want to rush that part and he understands), but I like him and it feels easy and fun. :) Time will tell. Sorry Missy, no self-portraits! haha Maybe next time ;) I'm surprised he didn't pull out his phone for a pic :p I had NO service the entire date so I didn't even bother looking at my phone. ha

As for updates on the other boys - I'd say hotty-bo-botty and golf boy are out of the picture. Have not heard from golf boy since before I told ya'll about him! Hotty-bo-botty texted me randomly Friday morning, but nothing since then and especially nothing of importance. Coworker boy is still as friendly as ever. Engineering boy is still traveling each week for work and I get texts very rarely. He's still interested, but I feel my interest fading fast.

Day 326

So much to say today...and mostly because you, my awesome friends, have been surrounding me with encouragement and positive vibes! :) Life is good...and it will stay that way! No more drama. ha Okay, so there probably will be drama at some point because I'm juggling several guys at once, but I am determined to enjoy this phase of life. Not only are there several interested gentlemen in my life, but things I've been wanting for a long time (like having LASIK done) are starting to take place. EXCITED :)

I feel like I need to fill you all in on the newest boy in the pack - he shall be called Electrician Boy. ha As I mentioned yesterday, I was leery about even talking to this guy. Why? Well, let me back up and tell a story about my first Match experience... I fell for a guy with a 3 year old son. I fell for the guy and I fell for his son. I SOOO did not ever plan to date a guy with a kid. I was trapped in the "I want to be his first & give him his first child" syndrome. This guy totally threw me for a loop and I was enjoying every moment. Then he surprised me by telling me that he wanted to give it a shot with a longtime friend whom he'd always been interested in, but the timing had never been right. :( I was crushed. It took me awhile to get over that hurt. I told myself that I was NEVER going to date a "dad" again. Enter the new story... Electrician boy has a 10 year old son. He has been divorced for 5 years and although he recently tried to give it another shot with his ex, everything I've heard from him and our mutual friends, tells me that it was a bad situation and he is a good guy for doing what he did. *sigh* So here I am, texting practically non-stop with a dad. Eek! Tonight he called me...out of the blue. It was easy and comfortable and fun. I need fun. I know he's looking for forever. So am I, but I don't know if I'm ready for that at this exact moment. He is. Now I feel like I'm coworker boy and electrician boy is me. Oh how the tides are changing! hahaha I guess the moral of the story is that you never know where you'll end up. I have a date with electrician boy on Saturday night. Time will tell what happens.

I have not heard from any of the other boys since Saturday (coworker & hotty-bo-botty) or Sunday (engineer). I haven't messaged them because I need to know if THEY want to pursue the relationship or if it's been me keeping it going for no reason. Fingers are crossed! ha

And on to today's meal...which was so yummy! Still trying new recipes out of the casserole mag. Lots more to go! ha This is a winner and I highly suggest it. For 9 WW+ points, it is a filling serving. Your kids will love it because it is fun and includes their favorite foods - fries, cheese, hamburger! ha We only made a half recipe tonight and it was the perfect amount for 2 of us.

Cheeseburger & Fries Casserole

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 10.75 oz can condensed golden mushroom soup
1 10.75 oz can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 20 oz pkg frozen french fried crinkle-cut potatoes
toppings (tomato wedges, pickles, etc)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, cook ground meat, half at a time, over medium heat until brown. Drain off fat. Spoon cooked met into an ungreased 3-qt. casserole.

In a medium bowl, combine mushroom soup and cheese soup. Spread over cooked meat. Sprinkle with potatoes.

Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 55 minutes or until mixture is heated through and potatoes are lightly browned. If desired, serve with toppings. Makes 8 to 10 servings.

Day 323 & More Boy News

Well today I felt like myself!! Sounds stupid to say that, but my positive optimistic self has returned. :) After a boy-free night last night, I woke up feeling refreshed. Ahhhh. Thank goodness!

Today I wore some of my new purchases. I've worn the coral tank top before, but it was the first time to wear the brown light-weight cardi and the cuff bracelet. Love it!

I have mentioned on Twitter, but not necessarily on here, that my blog friend Nikki (who I feel like I've always known, is it just me?) has made this the year of learning about her body and getting healthy...well, she has inspired me. Sure, I've been working hard to create new habits concerning food and exercise, but there is much more to do in my life.

The first thing isn't really about health, but more something I've thought about for YEARS and just never had the ability to do it. Today I had a LASIK consult in Indy at a well-respected office that many friends have gone to and raved about! I was anxious about the appointment, but I shouldn't have been. :p It was awesome! The office is just so amazing...the entire staff made you feel at ease and you can tell they know what they are doing. I was so relieved to find out that I am a great candidate for LASIK and the doc said my eyes are super healthy, even though she can tell how long I've been wearing glasses and contacts! (got my 1st pair of glasses in the 3rd grade & started wearing contacts in the 7th grade...its been the majority of my life! 20-21 years!!) So, it just happened that next week is surgery week at the Indy center (the surgeon rotates between 3 clinics in IN & KY)....and I am booked for Friday! The bad news is that I have to wear my glasses, which are 8 years old, ALL week. I am not supposed to wear my contacts ever again. I am excited about that, but I have a super busy week and my glasses give me headaches, so we shall see how this goes! I HATE MY GLASSES. *sigh* The doc said she fully expects me to have 20/20 vision due to how great my eyes are for this. YAY! Stay posted for a full report next weekend!

And on to the boys.......last night I didn't talk to any of the guys. Nada. Nil. Zilch. I didn't message anyone today either. It was almost time for me to leave work at 11am when I got the first text of the day...from coworker boy (who found his way to the office multiple times to ask me questions today...unusual). We texted most of the day. This afternoon I also heard from engineering boy and hotty-bo-botty. Still talking to engineering boy (he is back here this weekend) and even suggested he'd be welcome to come over for a movie, but he is playing geeky engineer tonight and soldering something at his place. Hotty-bo-botty might as well not texted for no more than he said. Boys are so frustrating. You leave them alone and they flock...you put it out there and they run away. ARGH. hahahaha All I can do is laugh about this tonight.

Day 322 & Boy Update

Enjoying a treat tonight - popcorn! I love it and it's light on points. :)

Okay.......so I need to update everyone on the boy drama. Where to begin? I guess the last I talked about it with all of you (some of you are much more up to date due to twitter and email and texts), everyone was saying to go with coworker boy. ;) haha The only way to do this is to tell you a synopsis of each situation.

Coworker Boy - We get along so well it's scary. Conversation is easy. He makes me smile without even really trying. Oh and did I mention that he gives forehead kisses?? *sigh* Cue the drama... Like most 30-somethings, he has experienced his own share of bad relationships, but the problem is that he hasn't found a way to trust again. As much as he wants to be in a relationship, he's too afraid to allow anyone to get really close. I think I snuck in under his defenses, much like he did mine. While I had no problem with this surprising turn of events, coworker boy got anxious and ran for cover. :( We have had a rough week of conversations, leaving me feeling like I've been on a roller coaster. I don't like roller coasters, I can't even ride the Viking Ship at King's Island without getting nauseous. Needless to say, after laying it all on the line this week (something I've never before done with a guy), I've learned that as much as I believe in something feeling right, you can't make the other person grab the opportunity if they aren't ready. So, for the first time in my life (again - so many firsts with this guy, it's insane!), I am just going to remain friends with him. It sucks, majorly. Even my "bro" thinks we'd be great together and was delighting in how happy we both were at the end of the week/over the weekend. I think coworker boy is the type that is generally pretty comfortable talking about his girlfriends with others (he certainly has been since he's worked with us), but neither of us want to share US with work (we've got some majorly noisy people) and I don't think he knows how to handle that new dynamic on top of a new relationship. Friends. Yep, it's working so far. Conversation is still as easy as breathing. I am not holding out any hope for more than what we have now. He's a great guy and as bro says "the damndest nice guy I've ever known", but I can't make him want more. Coworker boy still makes me smile with his smiles (seriously he has an awesome smile) and his intense blue eyes (who's not a sucker for baby blues...as I typed that I realized that 4 of my most serious relationships were with guys with blue eyes!) seem to be looking right through me.

Engineering Boy - A few of you mentioned how I didn't seem to be as giddy about engineering boy, but if I'd given my run-down of his good qualities immediately after our first date, I think it would have been different! My opinion of him last weekend was being colored by the excitement of something new with coworker boy. Anyway, engineering boy is currently in TN (which means out of state) and will be back and forth every week for the next month. When we originally started talking to each other (we met on Match.com), he forewarned me that he might have to spend a lot of time in TN in a few months....well, that time has come sooner rather than later. He is a hard worker and I totally admire that about him, but it feels like I'm being forgotten. We had a long discussion last night (for the second time in a week about this situation) and on my urging, we are going to take a break until he's back in town. This too sucks, but if we're truly interested in each other, we'll be looking forward to seeing each other again next month. He apologized, quite genuinely, for being "that guy" that didn't make me feel special. Sweet, no? Engineering boy definitely knows how to make me smile...and laugh. He is snarky and witty and I enjoy being kept on my toes during our conversations. It's not always as easy for me to feel like we have stuff to talk about, but he honestly works to keep it going. I'll be patiently waiting for him to return in 3-4 weeks and give it another try!

Hotty-Bo-Botty - Oh wait, you haven't heard about boy #3?? hahaha Well, listen up friends! My dear friend, Noelle, gave him his moniker. ;) He is a hotty. Like seriously out of my league hot. I sent Noelle a pic that he sent me so his face would appear in my phone when he called...and her reaction was much like my own! :p This is also a product of Match.com (it's a long story about why I gave this a go...but that's for another day). He's 36, looks like a yummy mix of Indian-American, but he calls himself white. I think his dad looks like he's an Island-Pacificer. He's from Virginia/DC area originally, but recently moved to Cincy. He's been talking to me for the entirety of this year. I have to admit that he intimidates me. Not that he's intimidating because he actually seems like a well-rounded, down-to-earth, next-door kinda guy. The problem is that I feel unworthy of his attention. Hotty-bo-botty is HOT. I am a realist, so I know that my being a good 100 pounds overweight makes me feel like a charity case. He works in sales and makes a good living doing so. He has been insistent about meeting me. I finally agreed to it this week (cause what's one more to the pile of drama, right?), but ever since then...I've not heard from him. So I'm not sure if it's a) the curse of once you have no one in the picture, everyone loses interest or b) the cat caught the mouse and really only wanted to toy with it, not eat it. haha Wait, that didn't sound right. LMAO So now I am just waiting to see if he follows through on meeting in person. Stay tuned for more on this!

Golf Boy - dun, dun, dun.....a 4th boy? WHAT?!? Eek! (I swear I'm not a slutty whore and this is for sure a first time in history that this many guys have been in my life at once - aka why I am so bad at juggling more than 1 at a time - but it's all because of online dating.) Golf boy manages a golf course in Evansville. And trust me, Rajean, if this boy ever makes his move...I will be coming to visit! haha ;) Okay, back to the story. Golf boy is a fellow Purdue grad that was on campus the same time as me and had the same major as MANY of my friends and somehow we never crossed paths. It really amazes me. I realize Purdue is a big school, but it always felt so small to me! He is 30, so we're pretty much the same age. He's from the Indy area originally and is very close to his family. He loves sports, just like me and we never seem to have trouble coming up with stuff to talk about (between Colts, Boilermakers, my previous background in golf course mgmt, etc). Unfortunately, he's never asked to take it beyond emailing on Match. Just this week I offered up my personal email...hoping he would take the leap and try to get to know me even more. He too was heavy in high school and college, then got serious about his health and lost quite a bit of weight. He says he has about 20 pounds he'd like to slim off again....I think he looks great! Anyway, with the mild winter, he hasn't had much downtime at work. We were both at Super Bowl Village at the same time (and knew it), but I don't think he was ready to meet...especially while we were both with our family members. I totally understand and respect that, but I would have liked to have at least met up long enough to say hi and to see if we had any chemistry. He's still in the mix, but it takes much longer to hear back from him because we aren't texting/talking on the phone. When we first started emailing, I had hopes that we'd meet and hit it off. So once again, waiting to see if he makes good on using my personal contact info.

And there you have it...the mess of my current standings with "the boys." haha I am feeling MUCH more like my usual optimistic self tonight. It amazes me that I was so forward with coworker boy (it's not in my nature to be that way around guys I'm interested in...) in telling him what I was feeling. After a week of being beyond honest with him, it felt natural to tell engineering boy how I was feeling while he was away working and not even letting me know he was alive. Then there is hotty-bo-botty and golf boy whom I've been running from and waiting on, respectively. ha As I said earlier this week in a text to my "bro" - I am not cut out for dealing with the feelings of dating more than 1 guy at a time. It's no wonder I never dated much (really, I haven't, it's quite pathetic) and that the ones I did date, went straight to relationship status without any hesitation.

Once again, thanks to everyone for listening to me rant all week about the drama and my frustration with the situations. I keep telling myself that one day it will be worth it when I'm with my dream guy... *sigh* Why does that feel like it's so far away? Ugh. As always, your advice is sincerely appreciated! :)

Day 319

The only good thing to come of this day was this sunrise I noticed while making copies this morning at work.

It was an up and down emotional day. I know I need to update ya'll on the co-worker boy story...but it seems it is not as over as I thought. New revelations tonight. I don't really know what is going on at the moment, but I'm going to just let it play out however it's meant to be. Stay tuned for more of this saga.... On another note, engineer boy is out of state for work again this week.

Day 317

EXHAUSTED.

Seriously. There is no other word for how I feel. I am beyond exhaustion. Too many late nights this past week! I napped one night this week and today I took a 4.5 hour nap! EEK! I am hoping to get to bed early tonight (or at least at a decent hour), but seeing as how it's 8:30pm and I haven't even started on 2 design jobs I need to finish this weekend, that might not happen.

This morning I had to take my car to the dealership for a regular service appointment - oil change/tire rotation/etc. Since my dealer is in Florence, I made a quick trip to Crestview Hills to exchange a top I bought last weekend (I had tried on 2 sizes and grabbed the wrong one!) and pick up a few items at Sephora. It was my first Sephora trip and while I'll always be an Ulta fan, I do foresee more trips to Sephora in the future! That stop hurt my bank account. Why does makeup and supplies have to be so darn expensive?!?

This afternoon when I got home, I slept on the couch for 4.5 hours (I had my alarm set for the 2.5 hour mark, but fell right back asleep when I turned it off...ha). Then we had dinner, started a load of laundry, and did some cleaning. Now I'm procrastinating on my design work and updating my blog. *sigh*

.....and now for the much anticipated (har har har...hardly!) update on the "date" situation. ;) A few of you have been keeping up via Twitter. A few of you have gotten text updates. And now everyone will get the story, abbreviated version. ha

Thursday night I went over to co-worker boy's house to hang out. It was our first "date." A little about co-worker boy: he's 31 (32 next month), grew up in a nearby small town (like it's smaller than my town!), works in Environmental Mgmt/Wastewater Treatment at our plant, is the youngest of 3 boys, lives in a house that some of my older relatives lived in when I was little (that couple is no longer alive), babysits his niece and nephews, stays in shape (seriously, it's a little intimidating to be my size and truly believe he's interested in me - ugh - I digress), he's smart and enjoys learning, he loves sports, he has a dog & cat, he's a country boy and wants to stay in the country, he's sweet, he has a great sense of humor, close to his parents, and as my "bro" would say - he's the darndest nice guy. ;) Back to the story......we watched a couple of basketball games and chatted pretty much the whole time, so much so that I would have a hard time recapping said basketball games. :p He is extremely shy at work, but luckily doesn't seem to have a problem talking to me. I ended up leaving his house at 11:15pm (yes, a 3.5 hour first date) and by the time I was walking in the door to the house, he was texting to tell me he'd had a great time and asking if I'd like to spend more time with him. :) Some side commentary - we sat on his loveseat the whole night, side by side, just BARELY touching. I kept thinking that it felt like he WANTED to put his arm around me, but he never did. I even thought he was gonna lean in for a kiss at the end of the night, but didn't. I'm pretty sure I didn't read the situation wrong and even though I was slightly disappointed about no hug, I was also relieved that he wasn't going to be the pushy type.

Fast forward to Friday night...I went over to co-worker boy's house AGAIN. ;) haha We watched The Tourist...have you seen that movie? It's normally not the type I'd choose, but it was actually good! I missed the first 10 minutes, so he had to fill me in since he'd seen it before, and we chatted off and on during the movie, but mostly just watched in companionable silence. After the movie, we watched parts of a few different basketball games. This time, he actually did pull me in close to him on the loveseat and put his arm around me. ;) Oh.....and he's the forehead-kissing type. Totally a melt-my-heart kinda moment. Always hoped to find a guy like that and now I know they aren't urban legends! ha We watched the end of Austin Powers 2 movie and then that was the end of our night. It was a majorly late night...I'm not even gonna post what time I got home! ha There was lots of talking again during the basketball games. I honestly believe I know more about co-worker boy in our 2 dates and 4 days of "talking" than I did about a few of the guys I've dated in the past.

So the big question from everyone has been....what about engineering boy? (That's the boy from the past Wednesday date) Background info on engineering boy: he's 32, he's an Electrical Engineer that works as a problem solving specialist for a national firm in Cincy, he's originally from the Chicago area, the oldest of 3 boys, extremely sarcastic, great sense of humor, loves city life, is really outgoing, enjoys being challenged (he took advanced courses as Rose Hulman - can we say, crazy man?), he has a dog, he's close with his family, and he's the hugging type. He got back in town late Thursday night and we have been texting since he's been back, but not quite the intensity as before. It's hard to distinguish if it's because he's so busy with work, he's just not that interested, or if it's because I'm not as interested. Ugh.

Moral of the story - juggling 2 guys is not for the faint of heart. There is a reason why I've only ever dated one guy at a time. ha I always watched friends date several guys at a time and one right after the other. I don't think I'm cut out for the life of a serial dater. I just wanna find that one guy that I can imagine spending every day with...is that really so much to ask??

Okay, an hour later and I just finished typing this...and no, I haven't started the design work yet...and I was planning to go to bed at 10pm. :(

Day 314

Today was an interesting day. I think the term...when it rains, it pours...would apply to the past week or so. And no, I'm not talking about actual rain. ha I had the most enlightening (and real) conversation with a co-worker when I left work tonight. He is my "brother" I never wanted. ;) We grew up going to the same church and he's known me since I was born, he's about 10 years older than me. We joke around all the time and give each other a hard time. I mentioned something to him at work today which of course needed a bigger discussion than we could have at work, so as I was headed home, my phone rang...it was my "bro." I am so glad we had the discussion and yet I'm utterly flabbergasted. It takes a lot to render me speechless and I still feel like my brain is mush! I can't wrap my brain around it.

Suffice it to say that when one guy is interested, at least 1 more will be. When no one is interested, it is a barren desert. That's the honest truth!

Last week AFTER my date night, a different co-worker (not my bro) popped into the office and nonchalantly asked me out. I am amazed that I was able to keep my mouth from gaping open! I mean....WOW. It's not that he's not a nice guy. He seems to be. I don't honestly know much about him (yeah, yeah...says the HR girl) because he's so darn quiet. He has a great smile and he's a cute guy. I think I am mostly shocked because I don't feel like he knows much about me (he's maybe said 10 words to me since he started in October) and he's not really the type of guy I'd normally date (which is good, right?) and I don't consider myself to be his type. Apparently he told my "bro" that he was interested in going out with me, but that message never made it to me because bro has always joked that I should go after this guy because we're both single and I always denied it saying I'd never date someone I worked with. The guy who asked me out doesn't know about any of that other scenario...or even that I've gone on a date with someone else (though it's far from exclusive). WHAT DO I DO?? If we didn't work together, I'd probably say yes to a date just to see if we had anything in common. Working together (although we don't really...I'm in the office on 1st shift and he's in the plant and will be on 2nd shift coming up in a few weeks) poses a new dynamic. Now the date-asker has taken it upon himself to find reasons to come into the office to "see" me. Not talk to me, but look at me...be in the same room as me. When I walk out into the plant, I feel like I'm being watched (because I am!). It's like he has a radar on me. hahaha This is so insane. Am I making too much out of this?!? AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

I guess I should back up and say that I glossed over not being available last weekend because I had weekend plans at the Super Bowl Village and then the Purdue basketball game. Talking to my bro today, he told me even more to the previous knowledge of date-asker wanting to ask me out....he told my bro today that he thought I looked really cute and if he had the balls, he'd go in the office and find a reason to talk to me! EEK! So now I KNOW he's finding reasons to come into the office, even though he hasn't found the courage to ask me out again or talk to me since asking me out originally, I know it's only a matter of time until he does. I feel like the clock is ticking and I need to decide what to do before then. HELP! You can email me (most of you have my email) or message me here or send me a tweet or text me. I mean, I need some serious consultation on this matter! ha

Coincidentally, I did feel cute today....I was wearing another of my new purchases from the weekend. I bought this cute top (in 2 different colors) from Lane Bryant - in the SMALLEST size I've ever gotten there!! A 14/16. I am stoked. :) Sorry it's not a great picture (why can't I look as good in pics as real life??), but I do love the shirt.
