Day 305

I'm sitting here on the couch, totaling up all my Scentsy stuff so I can mail my tax papers to my accountant. It looks much like it did at work today. haha

And tonight...I couldn't believe we were grilling outside for dinner! In JANUARY! It's seriously been crazy weather around here, supposed to be high 50's tomorrow and sunny. That's just unheard of for Indiana!

Day 304

With this post I am FINALLY caught up! Whew! I have told myself before that I would not allow myself to get this far behind...it is far too much work to get everything posted. ha

Today I slept in. Well, I guess you'd call it sleeping in. I never sleep very good when I stay at my sister's because we share her bed since the apartment is so freakin' cold AND because her roomie's dog now sleeps on the couch even though she's not supposed to! ha

Then the real fun began......Indianapolis is home to the 2012 Super Bowl!! So we of course had to go downtown and take it all in. :) So much fun. If you live within driving distance, I suggest you make the trip. You won't regret it. I am just sad that I had to make the trip home today because Jenna is at the FREE Dierks Bentley concert right now in the Super Bowl Village. :( Lucky lil brat. She's seen him perform twice already and I have yet to see the first performance! Oh well. We will be going back Friday night for the zipline and to see the "night" sights. Lots of good people watching today as well. ;) haha

Day 303

Saturday morning I got up, did my W6D1 of C25K workout and then made my way to Indy.

My day involved.....

Perfect sunny driving conditions

My favorite BRICS Broad Ripple Blackberry ice cream :)

 Shopping

Seeing the movie - One for the Money - with Jen's boss/friend, Nicole
Dinner at O'Charley's (mmm...those rolls are good!)

All in all, it was a good day. The weather was really nice even though it was windy. I picked up a few new items at Ulta. I got to see the Stephanie Plum movie! I adore that book series, I've read all 19 books! So glad that Nicole was wanting to see the movie as well. :) Then the day finished with a yummy meal at O'Charley's. Hope you had a great Saturday too!

Day 302

Fridays are supposed to be my "easy" day...but somehow that never quite works. I usually have a million errands to run and this week was no different. Got my nails done, went grocery shopping, delivered lots of Scentsy orders, made a bank trip, paid bills (takes 40 hours to earn that paycheck and 15 minutes to spend it!), exercised, and then made dinner. Mom wanted the Cheesy Chicken Casserole I made from Pinterest the other week AND the Ranch Red Potatoes. The potatoes are awfully darn good. ha

Day 301

Thursday I was excited to get my Scentsy Scentsational Start Level 3 award in the mail! It's so much fun getting surprise mail! :) I thought the certificate I had received and the product credit was all I got, but this little gem arrived and now has a home in one of my curio cabinets!

Day 300

Woohoo! Only 165 more days to go! Some days this has been an easy task and others, not so much. Nevertheless, it's been a fun project and I would encourage others to take a Project 365 challenge!

Well, on to Wednesday's events...and what an awesome way to spend my 300th day! Scentsy Spring Sprint!!

Oh, just read how I was at Purdue Tuesday night? And now I'm saying I was in Lexington, KY on Wednesday? Yep, I was a tired girl...but an excited one! :) I worked 2 hours Wednesday morning so I could get the daily reports done. Then I met one of my team members, Sydney, in Lawrenceburg. We cruised on down to Lexington and had lunch with my cousin, Zach, at this awesome diner called Meadowthorpe Cafe! Don't you just love hole-in-the-wall places? This was definitely one of 'em! So good though! After that, Sydney and I attended a full afternoon of Scentsy fun! To top off an already great day (I mean, the training and surprises were AWESOME)....the owners of the company, Heidi & Orville Thompson, were there! They randomly show up at a few of the events each year and we happened to be the first one they attended this year. :) It was my first time being in their presence and I cannot begin to tell you how blessed I feel because of this experience. I've always known and believed Scentsy was an amazing company, but Heidi & Orville are so genuine and down-to-earth...they could be your next door neighbors. Fun day! I am so pumped about all that is going to be happening this year with Scentsy!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH! :) :) :) I don't want any of you to miss out on a positive experience that could bring extra money to your family. What are you waiting for?? I'd be happy to answer questions for anyone considering joining Scentsy and would of course, LOVE to have you on my team! We are taking Scentsy by storm!

I did take LOTS more pictures, but most of them were of the new products and it's not quite time to reveal those yet...so you'll just have to wait to see more! ;) ha

Day 299

Tuesday marked yet another mad dash to West LaLa after work to go to the Purdue basketball game against Michigan. Unfortunately, it was a tough 2 point loss. Those are worse than blow-outs. If we could just get a game where we don't start off with 6 fouls on us to 1 on them, it would be freaking amazing! ARGH! It's our home court and somehow the refs have it out against us. Big Ten officials are some of the worst. To make matters worse, we had the world's most annoying elderly alumni couple sitting behind us...and they didn't know a damn thing about our team. Near the end, I told the lady off. Jenna was laughing and couldn't believe I'd waited so long. (I might be slightly mouthy. hahaha) Nothing irks me more than people attending the games just to say they were there!! On another note, the boys wore their silver/grey unis and most of us are not fans. Silver isn't even one of our colors! What happened to the gold unis? This seems to be the year of the wild team unis - started back in football and was the weekly story on Yahoo around the nation and now a lot of stories are popping up about basketball.

Day 298

Monday was a cold day....it required me turning my heater on. I had to warm up my feet (couldn't feel my toes! ha) before I could get my workout done. Toby always finds the warmest spot in the house! Doesn't he look like such a sad little thing? Poor baby is soooo mistreated. ;)

5QF - 1/27

Okay, okay...where the heck has this week gone?!? I have thought about my sad little blog ALL week and how I have not had any time to update it with Project 365 pics...and staying caught up on all the reading I do of everyone else's blogs...almost nil! I feel outta the loop in so many areas right now, but I hope to rectify the situation this weekend! So hang in there. haha I'll be a commentin', replyin' and postin' fool this weekend. ;)

As for my weekly WW update....*drumroll*....I am down another 2 pounds! WOOHOO! I am now about 7 pounds up from my lowest WW weight and still 4 pounds from my goal for next week. Oh wait, you don't remember why that is my goal? Well it is because I will be doing this next Friday night....

And now for some 5QF fun with Mama! Hope you'll link up as well!

1. Do you swim in the winter?

I would if I had access to a pool! Just had this convo with my Scentsy team member the other night...she doesn't swim and is not comfortable in the water, but I on the other hand was born to be a fish! ha I did take a few rounds of swim lessons at the local Y when I was a kid, but am far from a professional swimmer. I just love the water and the workout it provides. The only time I swim in the winter is if I'm at a hotel with an indoor pool or traveling to the beach...darn, now I wanna take a tropical vacation!

2. Do you love or hate winter?

I neither love nor hate winter. I honestly do not mind the cooler temps, but I am not a fan of ice. I enjoy the snow if I don't have to be out in it...although for some reason, I always tread out in it, even if it's to go play with my little cousins! :)

3. Do you put makeup/actual clothes on when you know you're going to be home all day with just family?

hahaha...most often, NO. I am a stay in my pjs all day kinda girl if I know without a doubt I will be home all day with just family. I'm actually the "high maintenance" one in my family and I'm so far from that title it's laughable. Mom never wears makeup and isn't much on dressing up. Jen rarely ever wears makeup and prefers to be casual unless she's going out dancing.

4. How old were you when you had your first alcoholic beverage?

Okay, so like....3? haha Seriously. CATHOLIC. My grandpa would always sneak us sips of his "Old Milwaukee" beer. :) Oh how I miss Papaw. I pretty much lived at my maternal grandparent's home and grandma would always chastise him, but that never stopped him! ha I would have to say that my first really "drinking" experience came in my early pre-teens when we were allowed to drink Slush at Christmas...yum! Never had it? It's frozen sprite and bourbon.

5. How many ill calls in a 12 month period do you think are acceptable?

I'm not sure what this question means...I'm assuming how many times you call in sick?? I can count the number of times I've called in sick to work on one hand in the past 6 years. Last year, the only reason I used my paid sick day at work was because I didn't want to lose it! I mean, it's a paid day off! ;)

Day 297

Well today was a normal Sunday. I did sleep in, but considering I went to bed at 1am and was still tossing & turning at 3am...I really didn't get any "extra" sleep. Oh well...no rest for the wicked, right? haha

Today I made lunch. Mom & Jen decided they wanted Bubble Up Enchiladas again and seeing as they are quite good, I didn't say no. ;)

This afternoon I was busy making the samples and getting everything ready for my Scentsy Scent of the Month club. I have everything ready to mail out at the end of the week...just waiting on the post office to get the new stamps in!

After I finished the samples, I decided I needed some activity! Instead of running or walking on the treadmill, I attempted to use a new app I downloaded on my iPod. Holy Smokes!! If you want a workout, download Bootcamp. It is killer. I did the Mix It Up workout which was 21 minutes of chaos. hahaha My arms seriously hurt tonight. I got a shower after the workout and could barely lift my arms to dry off. You know it's a good workout when you feel it immediately! I forgot how good it felt to do a total body workout since I've just been using the treadmill. The workouts consist of planks, squats, situps, pushups, lunges, jumping jacks, and a million other crazy positions that I would encourage you to practice beforehand! It feels much like I imagine a real bootcamp workout to go: a drill sergeant voice telling you to push harder, go faster, and blows a whistle when you need to transition. Whew! Tomorrow I'm going to test my knee on the treadmill again (tonight's exercises really didn't help) and then give bootcamp another try Tuesday morning.

Speaking of my knee, I think I probably need to try finding a brace of some sort (more like the "sleeves" basketball players, etc wear). My main problem is that my right leg is just a smidge shorter than my left, so when I run, I tend to put my weight on that side of my body. This usually results in right hip problems as well, but so far nothing on that front. *knocks on wood* As I type this, I am doing an ionic detox. I'm hoping that helps and as you can see by this picture taken within the first 3 minutes...the water was already turning a bright orange which indicates inflammation from your joints is being pulled into the water. I need to try to find time to fit a detox in a few more times this week. I have been bad about not making this a regular weekly/biweekly occurrence.

Day 296

I love weekends! I wish they lasted longer. Don't we all? ha My day started with an extra 2.5 hours of sleep - hallelujah! It felt great to sleep in. I had no plans until the evening, so I was able to lounge around the house all day and just be a bum. In retrospect, that probably wasn't the smartest plan since I have 7 more pounds to lose in 2 weeks time, but it was much needed for my aching knee!

This is the loveliness I woke up to...thank goodness mom & Jen were nice enough to chip the ice away that afternoon!

One of my really good high school friends, Kristi (I was in her wedding in May), was spending the weekend here in Indiana with her hubby. They live in Illinois. She called earlier in the week to see if I was free for dinner over the weekend. So, mom, Jen, and I met up with Kristi, her hubs Jake, her dad Jack, our other good friend Olesha, her hubs Dickie, her kids Bradley & Baylee. We had dinner at Sakura (love the hibachi grill! ha). Miss Baylee sat by me and she instantly got ahold of my camera! ha We had a great time - lots of laughs! There's nothing like a night out with some of the best friends a gal could have to chase away the winter blues. :)

Day 295

Hello friends! Today was a busy day. There is nothing like a haircut and getting your eyebrows waxed to make ya feel like a new woman! ;) haha Actually, it was just a trim, but my hair grows ridiculously fast so it is always nice to plop in my cousin's salon chair and let her work some magic.

I was also quite the kitchen diva today. I made 3 NEW never before tried recipes (in this home) thanks to finding them on Pinterest! They are all winners and will be made again!

5QF - 1/20

I am very frustrated to say that I stayed the same weight this week! Argh! I am hoping to be down another 7 pounds in 2 weeks...gotta add in some extra workouts I guess (6 days a week must not be enough!). ha

Didn't have internet today at work because like most of Indiana, Frontier's service was out. Thank goodness I don't have that problem here at home! :)

Okay folks, time for another Five Question Friday!!

- - -

1. Where do you hide the reeeally good snacks?

Well...I would be lying if I didn't say that in the past I have hidden snacks. Now I do not even keep anything that would tempt me around! ha My favorite snacks now are the Skinny Cow candies and fruit. Boring, I know. ;)

2. Do you keep your vehicle clean or am I the only one who has things falling out of their van?

I am a bit OCD, so I do my level best to keep my vehicle clean. There is never any "junk" in it, but it isn't always swept out/wiped down. I don't like clutter and that extends to my car! Nothing falling out here.

3. Have you ever been to Vegas?

Yes, I have! It was a fun vacation with my mom and sister a couple summers ago. I will be going back this summer for Scentsy's annual convention...and it's RIGHT before my 30th birthday. The only thing that would make this second trip better would be having someone special to go with...but I'm not holding out much faith there, so I'll just have to live it up myself! :p

4. Warm room/light blankets or cold room/warm snuggly blankets?

It's a toss up. I like having my room warm enough that I can sleep without covers, but I also love to snuggle up in a blanket on a cool night.

5. What is the worst airplane/flying experience you've ever had?

I have to preface this by saying that I absolutely LOVE to fly. :) I would travel every day of every year if I could afford to do it! I really haven't ever had any bad experiences. I've experienced weather delays, mechanical delays, turbulence, sickness on my first long international flight...but I don't really consider any of that as bad. I love it and can't wait for my next trip...wherever and whenever that may be. ha

Day 294

Not gonna lie...still been doing the C25K program and tracking every single bite of food. This is the point in the C25K program that usually starts causing me problems. And they're back! :( My right knee is killing me. My hip was hurting the other night, but tonight it wasn't too bad. I wish the knee pain would go away. I keep praying that as I lose more weight, the stress I'm putting on my body will lessen and these problems will go away, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Hmph.

I absolutely despise using this stuff, but Icy Hot doesn't do anything for me. Everyone else (my mom and sis) say this feels cool...it burns the crap outta me! Seriously. I feel like my skin is on fire when I use it.

Also........today Scentsy unveiled some new stuff! We are adding to our current line AND creating a new company within the Scentsy family. Check out the links below and let me know if you're interested in being on my team or having a party!!
